Storage problem after playing Music

Whenever I play music on my xperia L (C2104), weirdly my phone's storage is consumed.

I have tested this thing few times now and am pretty much sure that its because of playing music.

I have even tried playing music via other apps like vlc and real player..but still the same problem.

P.S.. My music is on a SD card, is that the reason?

are you using Google Music? 

if you are check this 

settings > Cache during playback (uncheck it) 

it can also be Instagram

No I am not using Google Music.
I use walkman app.

And I know its not instagram because i dont use instagram on this phone

as suggested by uliwooly probably walkman app creates a cache of the files that you are listening.

You can try to:

- Clean walkman cache and retry

- Try google music with the option suggested by uliwooly and verify if issue is the same

- Copy mp3 files on internal storage and retry with walkman app

I have tried all the three thing but still the problem persists
