Status Bar doesn't work!

I've just bought Xperia L. I'm an average user, I don't use phone for games, only for basic stuff, internet and social applications mostly. So as so far I didn't notice problems with multitouch like while pinching to get the photo larger or smaller, it all works fine.

However, there IS a problem: I can't move status bar. I tried going downwards with every part of my finger to open it, and it simply doesn't react.

Please, help me, as it's my first smartphone (after lots of years with my faithful nokia), and 24h after buying it I already start regretting...

(What's more, I don't feel like a specialist in any of this as Android is pretty new for me, so please, don't use complicated words and magical functions.)

Could be that you enabled talkback app for blind people?You need to use two fingers in that case.

@alexdon no. And now I turned it on to check if it works with two fingers, and it doesn't work still, although when i touch the status bar it shows me it's touched.

Boot your phone into safe mode,see if you can drag the bar:

Thanks. Yes, in a safe mode is does work...! Should I blame some applications I installed? Is it because of one in particular or just because there are lots of them?

You have one or some apps acting up.Any lock screen apps?Smart key maybe?

No, nothing connected with screen, nor any launchers.

Do you know what apps have you installed lately?Maybe you can go on apps home screen and sort them by recently installed.

Just restarted the mobile after rebooting. Status bas works without any problems (touch the wood) now.
