Stamina: Not disabling WiFi or Mobile Data

Hi,

I;ve justed noticed that Stamina on my mobile is not working properly IE it does not disbable WiFi or Mobile Data when the screen is off/

WiFi sleep is set to never keep it enabled.

Also noticed that my WiFi keeps randomly disconnecting from an AP whilst I am using it

You must have it added to the exception list or not activated the box which disables background data when phone is in sleep mode

Have what added to the exception list?

Which box do you mean for diable background data?

Settings then Power management then when activated you should see the different toggles enabled and from there you can open Location based Wi-Fi and make sure that the boxes are ticked which means that it's not added to an exception list

Nope, WiFi still disconnects.

Also as mentioned Stamina is not working with WiFi either

Try an App preferences reset - Settings - Tap the 3 dots then reset app preferences then reboot and test

Nope, WiFi keeps disconnecting still.

Also note I do not control the AP, it's a public AP

I'm confused - Do you have a Stamina mode issue or something else?

I have both a stamina issue whereby WiFi and /or mobile data is nt diabled when the screen is off and WiFi randomly disconnecting whilst the screen is on

Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data so best to backup before you begin

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
