Square Credit Card Reader

I have been using the Square credit card reader and was working perfectly until a couple of days ago. The phone recognizes that the reader is connected but when I try to swipe a credit card (cc) it will not read it. The CC reader is working fine, it works on multiple other phones and tablets. I uninstalled and re-installed the app on the phone and it still doesn't work, the phone software is up to date. Any Ideas?

Welcome to the community.

I am afraid when it comes to third party products there is limited support we can offer But I will try to help as best as I can.

I assume the reader connects via Bluetooth or NFC? Is that right? If so you can try resetting the Smart Connect app. To do this please go to Settings > Apps > Smart Connect > Force Stop > Storage > Clear data.

(If you are on Lollipop go to Settings > Apps > All > Smart Connect > Force Stop > Clear Data)

Thanks for the information, the card reader connects via the head phone jack. I did as you suggested, I will find out if the problem has been solved in the next few days.
