Spurious Notifications

I have had my T-mobile Z for 2 weeks now. 

Notifications continue to function less and less often. I have only added FB, K-9 mail, LinkedIn.

Is anyone else having this issue. The latest is text messages not notifying, which is completely unacceptable. 

I am not running in Stamina mode and not talking about the LED issue. I get no notificationswhat so ever I have to open the apps to see new content.

I came over from Blackberry which was always flawless until their Z10 abortion (also Android based).  I do not know if this is a phone problem or just how well Android works.

Any advice appreciated.

Normally I would have said Stamina mode but as you appear to have ruled that out I would have to advise a firmware repair given that it is affecting multiple applications:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps

Will I lose data with this maneuver?

Yes and no; technically it does delete personal data but you can run a backup through the Backup & Restore section of PC Companion first.
