I have my nice new Z1 compact and I was using the speaker phone to make a call to someone and they started saying on there end it was making funny noises at them. I have investigated and it does it to whoever I call on speaker phone. Sometimes after they speak it makes a little bark noise the louder they speak it seems to make it worse. I have tried turning off noise cancellation and speaker enhance but cannot see any other settings I can change. Has anyone else got this issue or have you all not tried a speakerphone call yet?!?
To add to that.
To test on your phone just call any other phone (peferably a mobile) from your Z1 compact. Then put it on speaker phone. Answer you other phone and go somewhere far from the Z1 compact. Then say thing into the other phone and get louder if you like. You should hear some kind of little noise after you stop speaking sometimes. Can someone try this please? I dont really want to reset my phone becauase i put all my stuff on there now. I am not sure how it would be software related also...
Same issue here.
My old man tells me I am breaking up, it's making weird noises etc.
I have turned off all of the enhancements to see if it makes a difference. Will let you know what I find.
Think my phone must be faulty.
Do you have a case by any chance? Could be messing with the speaker?
Tried disabling all speaker settings, still a problem.
I do not have a case on it. no. Anyone else tested this. I want to figure out if its a software or hardware fault.
annoyingly i have tried a full reset of the phone and it still makes the same noises. I am going to swap it out for another unit and test it in the store to make sure it doesnt bark at the user on the other end
Did swapping the handset solve the problem?
Everyone I talk to using speakerphone complains they cant hear me and its not far from where im speaking neither.
I'm having the exact same problem. I'm hoping someone can confirm that they had a device with this problem and then exchanging it for another device fixed this problem.
I have the same problem as well...we need to know it's a hardware or software problem
