Speaker issue not caused by earphone

Since a couple of days the speaker of my xperia t (LT30p, build 9.2.A.1.199) is not working. This problem started after a call where I used the speaker function. After the call the keyboard seemed frozen, so I could't close the call. Since the one I had called closed the call, after a 15 seconds the keyboard locked. My battery was low and finally the phone shut down. After recharging, I have this issue that the speaker is not working at all: calls, alarms etc. Keep silent although volume is max. I've run diagnostics, no sound. I've updated the phone to android 4.3 with the build mentioned, no sound. I've read a lot of similar posts, all related to the earphone. However, I don't use the earphone nor the Walkman app (the phone works with earphone though). Still, I have tried the advices mentioned there (cleaning the earphone plug, pulling the plug while playing music etc.). All without result. Any other thoughts? Help is much appreciated, this is very annoying!

Try performing a system repair as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Should the issue continue then you may need to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and have your device inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

Thanks for the advice.

I've tried the factory reset. Unfortunately without result Slightly_frowning_Face

Instead of repairing the phone, I wonder if a remote control like BRH10 or SBH52 is an alternative to solve the problem (and have some additional functionality)?
