SP touchscreen problem

Hi, my XSP has a big problem. Sometimes when I unlock my device, something starts to touch my screen. It happens usually while texting. I can't write because the phone do the "ghost touches". Glove mode is OFF. Other thing is that multitouch is not working all the time. It starts working only when I restart my device. Restart with "ghost touches" didn't help. Please help! Sorry for my bad English

Try to update the firmware and phone.

And start the phone in save model to check if it caused by 3rd app.

If that happens only when you are charging it or when it's plugged into a laptop pc, low charger output or non-grounded usb output might cause the problem. Software repair does not fix these. You should use the original charger and try not to use it while plugged in to a pc.

Sometimes when your thumb is too close to the screen it can be registered as a touch input, even your palm can trigger these. And yes this happens even when glove mode is off. But it is not as intolerable as you've mentioned. I suggest you turn on the glove mode and just reboot your phone.

Also safe mode:http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008#U348008

Thank you!
But I use original charger and don't use pc as charger. However this problem with touchscreen happens a few times a day but when it happens, it is very annoying. This morning I can't turn off my alarm because of this issue. Do you think, will hard reset or repairing help?

As for me, the ghost touch happens when I turn on the glove mode. In a certain condition (probably something is leaking on the memory) when I touch the screen once, the touch respond seemed like twice. etc etc. When it's happening, I turn off the glove mode. Problem solved, for a while.
After some time (due to memory leak again maybe) the screen become unresponsive. Turning on glove mode will fix this.
And those 2 problems looping on me.

So, there are 2 problems. Glove mode on: ghost touch, Glove mode off: unresponsive screen.
And to fix the current problem is by switching the Glove mode on or off.
