I've recently bought a xperia SP. Since day 1, the phone very rarely responds to touch events when charging. Is this a known issue? Or am I the only 1 facing this problem!?
I have a opposite problem ... On my phone the display is facing the touch issue when it doesn't connect to USB and when charning. When the phone is connect to the charger the display issue is gone. I try to recalibrate the g sensors, but I helped only for a while ;(
This is normally related to grounding in the wall socket you're using. Does the same thing happen if you connect the charger to another wall socket?

This problem occurs on all the wall sockets and even when connected to laptop via usb.
Alright. And you have tried some different chargers/cables as well?
If that's the case, you should send in the phone and charger to an authorized service center for repair. Contact your local Xperia Support for more information:
I am also suffering from this same exact problem, ie, the phone does not respond well to touch while charging.
My Sony Xperia SP is brand new and I am quite disappointed with this problem.
I understand your frustration and disappointment. Try the things mentioned in this thread if you experience the same issues as isvicbhasme.
I am also having the same problem .My new xperia sp is missing touches when it is charging.
i also tried using different chargers ,sockets and everything but of no use.
Can it be a hardware issue or a software problem.?
Please advise
Same here, phone touchscreen is mostly unresponsive during charging and even when placed on a horizontal surface...
@tanmaya & DashWatson, did you try to repair the phone software as well?
