SP screen not working!

So the screen on my SP has stopped working, I can hear some tones and managed to get a camera noise to happen but I can't get the display to work. When I press the on/off button the screen goes from black to slightly light than black, as if it's trying to display, but the most that happens is a very think blue line across the screen.

No idea whats wrong with it, or what to do about it! Does it need the display repaired?

Try to turn it on.

Thanks, I tried it and it switched off but when I switched it on again I just got the same line across the screen. I think the display is damaged, perhaps a connection is loose or something.

Im in Edinbugh (UK) so not sure that's possible, I have a repair appointment at a Carphone Warehouse there on Saturday so hopefully it's nothing too serious!
