SP not compatible with power bank

Tried to charge my Xperia SP with a portable 2200 mAh power bank, output 1000 mA, but SP tilts it every time. It works just fine with Lumia phones.

Anything I can do?

My 750mA battery charged everything except the X-SP. Changed to an Anker Astro 3E and that works fine.

Not much you can do but you may try to ensure that the voltage is exactly at 5V not more or lesser so that your phone's battery does not get damaged. Try getting a charger from Sony or ask for a refund.....

I figure XSP makes the power bank malfuntion. The charging light goes off and wouldn't turn on until I connect it to a wall charger and after that to another phone.

Could it be that xsp tries to draw too much current (amps) from it? More than other phones?

Since xsp support USB otg. the charging voltage should be morethan 5v to recognize the power bank. I tested Sony powerbanks and it worked fine. Third party powerbanks may not support xsp. Also u cant charge ur device from some car stereos. Xsp has 2370mah battery. So buy a powerbank with Atleast 4400mah capacity. Otherwise u can't fullcharge ur phone.
