Sony z1 headphone problem

Hey I keep getting same problem can someone help?
Everytime I hook up new pair of headphones to my z1 only one speaker works but the headphones are fine using with any other device,how do I rectify this as it's getting so annoying

You could try the following:

- settings-apps-all-smart connect,clear data.

- clean the 3.5mm input for any dirt.

you might want to contact your local Sony Xperia support as it could be hardware related
