Sony Xperia z5 compact smashed screen

My son dropped my phone and it landed on the bottom right corner cracking the screen from the bottom to 3/4 way up.  I can use the menu at the top however can't use the key pad or any bottom part of screen.

I need to download or transfer data accross to pc or external USB

Bought an micro USB to USB to attach a mouse to use screen however the mouse won't work. The mouse and the USB cord work on other phones when tested.

I am unable to bluetooth, the screen rotation button was turned off by someone trying to help me so can't rotate to use screen any other way.

Have I run out of options to get my contacts and texts from my phone.

Will cost $250-350 to fix cracked screen, I have put sim into another phone so can recieve calls

As this was a new phone I had not installed the software to contect to my pc and unable to do this now as can't press the accept at the bottom of screen.

Devices are not my thing so very frustrated at my lack of ability to fix this!

Can anyone offer any advice?

Thank you

it is not recommended to touch the screen anymore as this may cause injury. but for the sake of your data let's try some ideas.

is your phone in anyway connected to the internet? wifi or data? if that's the case. try to check your google account online. it may have sync some of your contacts.

is the notification drop down still working? you can access some toggles here even the phone is locked.

to be able to use the OTG cord and mouse you need to access the detect usb option on the device connection in the settings menu. you access settings on the notification area or if you can still click on the settings on the app drawer.

settings>device connection>usb connectivity detect usb device

or you can try to edit the notification drop down to place the detect USB toggle in the quick shortcuts
