Sony Xperia Z1 Compact

Hi there,
I was considering the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact me to buy. My concern is the battery. What about the warranty, if the battery power after half a year greatly diminishes. The battery is permanently installed, the device must always be Paid ends when it happens in the 2 year warranty?

You mean that after 2 years you need to pay for the repair of the phone?

Thank you first, even for the battery? Where is that written at Sony?

Warrant is usually one year. Check with your country's Sony store.

It is under warranty if it is manufacturing defect. (battery dies prematurely--limited recharge cycles)

You can get a 3rd party store to replace that battery for you.  If you don't want to take that risk, take it to Sony Service center, they can replace it for you if you don't mind paying for the "parts and labour" cost.

Phone your country's Sony mobile support.  They can tell you how much you have to pay.

If Sony are playing dumb then it's time to spread the news to other sources.

Start facebooking other sites.

Does anyone know journalists in the computer industry?

Let's go people!!!!

@WallyZ - I am unsure what you mean by this. As outlined above if the battery fails within the warranty period then the replacement of the battery would generally be covered by the warranty. It is only in circumstances where there is a failure outside of the warranty term that there would be cost involved as with any other problem that may be encountered after this time period.

However always do consult with your local Xperia Care team for any service/warranty issues.
