Sony Xperia Z1 Camera Software

The Sony Xperia Z1 is in need for new camera software, just saw some camera samples from the new Nokia Lumia 1520 that just got announced in Dubai and they´re camera software destroys Sony´s when it comes to detail, clarity and noice. Why can´t just Sony redo the enitre camera software and give us something that can compete with the Lumia phones from Nokia because as of now Sony is behind in terms of the camera picture quality....

Just look at these samples from the Lumia 1520, but they are the 5mpix oversampled shoots but still the quality is outstanding!!!!

Different lens and more important different sensor size

Yes i know, but the Z1´s sensor is a little bigger then the Lumia 1520´s senor but Nokia uses better camera software than Sony for they´re mobile cameras! Sure Nokia have Carl Zeiss on they´re side but still Sony can do so much better with they´re software for the Z1 for instace but chooses not to for some reason!

Okey, i´ll fix that! But still Sony need to overlook they´re camera software if they are gonna compete with the best! For gods sake they are a camera maker with alot of years of experiance and that makes me sad when they release a "camera" phone that is supposed to be the best Sony can make and then when it´s released the camera experiance is under par compared with other manufacutures like Samsung and Nokia. Why are they makeing rookie misstakes?

I agree that there's a lot of room for improvement, and I hope Sony do so

I really hope so to but as of now i don´t have alot of faith in Sony to do so.. They seem to be fixated to release phones that are superior on paper but not in real life.. Sure the Z1 is great with the exeption of it´s camera wich needs alot of work to become the best Sony can make.. It has all of the componenets but no engineers that can make it exellent as of now. All we can do as consumers is to push Sony but i belive it all will be in vain. They keep makeing excuses and pretending the there is now issue with the camera software when there is an issue with it.. 1. The pictures it produce are "oversharpened" and pixellated if you really look closely. 2. The noice reduction are smearing details in some degree. 3. There are artifacts in all ISO levels even in iso 50 in good lighting. So yeah i think they can do alot better!!!!

They can release a seperate update only for the camera just like Samsung and Nokia, HTC did for there phones!

Just found something interresting.. It´s from the Xperia Z1 Review Guide

This is also Sony’s most creative camera to date. In addition to the next version of Sony’s

Superior Auto Mode (designed to make it easier for casual photographers to adjust camera

settings for their surroundings), Xperia Z1’s camera will also come with a full set of manual

settings for more advanced photographers. This will enable manual control of shutter speed and

aperture settings as well as manual over and under exposure control.
