I´ve just bought a Xperia Z1 and have just played around with it quite some time now and i love my phone but i have encountered two issues.
1. The camera performance is under par for the sensor size and megapixel count. There are artifacts in all iso settings in manual mode in all resolutions but the 20mpix setting is a joke when it comes to quality and the auto focus is really unrealyible in low-light conditions and even under good/normal light conditions. The superior auto mode ain´t as good as it could be.
2. The camera software uses over - processing and destroys the fine detail and intruduse strange artifacts and makes the images unuseible sometimes. This is something Sony needs to look into and fix.
3. The video has some issues the many have been noticeing around the world and that is that the video laggs when filming no matter the resolution. I know it´s a software issue because i have try the same thing in secure mode.
All of this can be sorted out with software updates and i hope Sony takes this seriously and makes the nessicary changes to improve the overall performance of the still and video camera of the Xperia Z1.
