Sony Xperia Z Ultra c6833 gone berserkers on me!

So here's my story... I was texting my girlfriend last night and all the sudden the phone froze on me for like 10 seconds and then rebooted itself!!! After the "sony" logo came on my phone just went into a black screen!!! I did a hard reset with the litte red button where the SIM card is located at and got the same results! I then did another hard reset by holding the power + volume up button and still got the same results. After trying that way for 8 times or so I started getting frustrated! I hooked up my USB cable to the phone and connected to my laptop with Sony campanion opened and did another reset hoping that some how companion could read... but sadly to no avail... but I did noticed that the phone was charging... everytime I press the power button it only displayed a pic of the battery charging... so I let it charge. As soon as that little battery picture turned green, I unplugged the charger and did another hard reset. I got the same results as before, BUT this time i left the phone stay on the empty black screen that I would get after the Sony logo on for like a minute. It started to boot up! BUT it took the phone like 45 seconds just to boot! Has anyone ever ran into this problem? The phone has rebooted on me couple of random times prior to this whole event. Has anyone also been experiencing random reboots and freezes? I would expect a better product from Sony! especially when I've invested in such an expensive product from them!

Hey.

Follow the steps.

1) Force shutdown your phone.

Press and hold the power button + Volume Up button for

    • 5 seconds > ( 1 Vibration ) Force restart
    • 10 Seconds > ( 3 Vibrations ) Force shutdown

 2) Now reinstall the software in your phone.

Update/Repair your phone via SUS

I think it is the optimized blacklight option turn to off.
To confirm, just let the phone boot up, it will take few minute or more to reach the wave screen. You will notices that after booted, when go into standby mood, blacklight still on. And the brightness control won't work.
Fix this just go to setting->Display, turn on Optimized Backlight. Then reboot. It will back to normal.

yes that's what I thought was causing the problem and I did turn it off afterwards. Apparently it's still rebooting on me...it usually reboots every 2 or 3 days or so... I'm guessing this isn't any sort of utility/software maintenance that Sony purposely implemented?

gaza1010 Rollout of a new software version is in progress, most probably it should fix the issue.

I hope the next update will hopefully fix this problem, but the update hasn't arrived for my phone yet. If this new update doesn't fix this then I will have no other choice but to usethe update service to repair my phone and see if it fixes my problem for me.
