Hello everyone,
I must first apologize if I have posted this thread in the wrong section. I looked for a Sony Xperia TL section of the forum but did not see one. I saw the Xperia T/TX section and thought it would be the best place for me to post. I own a Sony Xperia TL that is less than a year old and I take very good care both with the hardware and the software components of it. It has developed an issue with the camera where a circle has shown up at about the middle of the screen and it is hazy. It is a very fine circle and after I take a picture the circle remains in the picture even when I export the pictures to a computer. I am not sure if this is a software or hardware issue. This issue only came up recently and I am wondering if others who own this model or similar models have experienced this issue. My limited warranty from Sony is still valid since it has been less than a year since the purchase date and I also have not dropped it, exposed it to shock or extreme heat, and it has not been damaged by water. I am hoping users of this forum may be able to chime in on this issue.
Try to clean the lens if that doesn't work then take it to AT&T or Sony
I have cleaned the lens using pure anhydrous isopropyl alcohol and I have repaired the software and the issue still persists. I went to AT&T and those clowns told me sorry we cannot help you. Sony tells me it is a software issue. I haven't made any progress.
People at at&t are "generally" .... lets just say that they don't know what's going on, do you have insurance? if you do you can get it replaced, contact Sony and tell them that it's not a software issue as if it was it will be solved with either PCC or SUS and that hasn't happened
I went to another AT&T store and was actually helped this time and was sent out a refurbished Xperia TL handset. It doesn't suffer from the camera issue and the static sound I used to hear during telephone calls is gone too. I have read that the static sound heard during a telephone call is a very common issue with the Xperia T. I am in love with it again. However both my eyes are on the Sony Xperia Z1 C6906 model since it seems to be the only Z1 that has the LTE bands that work with AT&T. Weelectronics seems to be the only place selling the C6906 and it is a hefty price. Hopefully it will drop in price and become more available.
I have the C6903 and LTE comes and goes, I guess it has to do with which LTE frequencies are available since AT&T LTE's are either
700 MHz Class 17 / 1700 / 2100
LTE 800 / 850 / 900 / 1700 / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600 - C6903
LTE 700 / 850 / 900/ 1700 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600 - C6906
If you do get the Z1 make sure to get a film protector on both pannels
