Sony Xperia T LT30P - Power on without button?

Hi,

Is  it possible in anyway to power on a Sony Xperia T LT30P without using the power button or any other button on the right hand side panel?

I have recently replaced an LCD screen and digitizer but accidently damaged one of the flex cables that runs to the button panel. I am waiting on a replacement part but just wanted to know if I can atleast get the phone back online. Any kind of USB utility that can do this?

Thanks Slightly_smiling_Face

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

As far as I know, you will not be able to power on the phone when the power button is defective.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I was just wondering if there is any software other than the Sony PC Companion that would allow me to connect the phone via USB and  send a start signal to it. When device software is updated, a reboot signal can be sent so hence the idea Slightly_smiling_Face

Not that I'm familiar with or have heard about. So my guess would be No.

Replaced the screen and the flex cable and it's sorted. It's a shame that the Xperia devices have limited capabilities like this though, would be nice to be able to send some kind of wake on lan signal to power it up without the.touch screen
