I purchased an Xperia SP on May 2013 and I'm using teh phone with BSNL network. This phone has got following problems.
Low volume in normal speaker, loud speaker and in the head phones during calls and hearing music while walking on road or travelling in a bus.
Very Low capability in catching WiFi signal. Shows only 1 or 2 points signal when the router is just 4m away. My Nokia and iphone shows full signal at that time.
Very often the phone is getting disconnected from the mobile network. Even if the phone is showing enough or full range, I'm not able to make calls or receive any calls. When somebody calls me, they gets an announcement that "the number is in out of coverage area". I tried by replacing the SIM card. But still the problem exists.
The music quality is not as good as old K or W series phones what I was expecting in Sony.
Camera quality is pathetic when compared with HTC, Nokia, Blackberry and Samsung.
Sony PC Suite don't have access to phone contacts directly to view and send sms using pc.
Apps cannot be updated by connecting the phone to a pc. The only possible way is with WiFi or 3G.
Even if I'm having good signal, the other person always used to say "my voice is breaking".
Cannot set the time interval to refresh Push mail. Push mail is not always live.
its sad a lot of people are experiencing these issues my sp works well and does what a mid range phone should do . i noticed faults on the phone and went to the shop i bought it from to exchange it and since its being responsive as I knew I was getting a mid range device. The camera has its pros and cons it does take decent pictures thou could be better , the video record high volume of bass when in a concert but all these do affect what the phone does which is provides me with quality music play back ,calls r awesomely clear ,battery life is very decent I noticed the screen problem and I changed the screen protector and the phone now acts right . Since I got this device only restored the os once after updating to latest software and the phone does what its meant to do function by allowing me place calls and send SMS and also receive calls which is what I got the phone for the game play on it is awesome for a mid range phone. I truly sympathize with the other users having faults on their devices and I'm sure in due time it will all be rectified as this is a very solid phone and if I wanted a phone that would wake me up physically and make breakfast I would have waited till 2032 to get that If you truly unhappy sell or trade in to get a better handset as we all over loads of options out there Peace
