Sony Xperia P Instagram

Hi, I need to solve this problem really fast. I am using the newest version of Instagram on my phone ( Sony Xperia P ). When I try to take a photo from instagram I have only 1/4 Screen. Other is black. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

that's odd , what is the version of your intagram> is it 3.4.0? mine is 3.3.3 and I don't experience any "1/4 screen image visible", even if flash on , is your XperiaP's build number 6.1.1.b.1.54? if it is, it's the firmware not the app itself, since many users here at that Build number experience black image at 8mp when flash is on even when using 3rd party camera apps such as instagram, Mine is at still 6.1.b.0.544 and don't plan to update it due to complaints.

The latest Update for Xperia P has this issue. I think if you take picture with instagram the picture will be Okay with no black screen at all. The issue occur just before taking the picture. bUT after you take a picture it will be gone. There is nothing we can do. but i saw at XDA that they had resolved this issue. i don't know hot but for sure it requires rooting your phone. you can search it on google. something like XPERIA P SIMPLE CAMERA FIX.

well mine at build number 6.1.b.0.544 , instagram version 3.4.0, i don't have any problems on my camera before/after taking the pic on instagram. try downloading instagram that has version like mine 3.3.3

I have same problem with you. and i think it is because i updated my phone. try clearing its cache and uninstall it. then reinstall in again.

Thank you for the replies. But I can't fix this problem. We Just have to wait till Sony releases a new update and fix our 8MP Issue, Instagram, Audio out of sync while playing the recorded video(I have another post please check it out if you can help me) and much more problems... Same problem here, since 6.1.1.b.1.54.

Updated to 6.1.1.B.1.75, bit it didn't fix it...

Wait, How did you got B.1.75? I factory reseted my phone yesterday and it deleted everything but also updated to b.1.54

there are new updates been rolling out today. but still, I don't have the update yet.

I have forwarded this earlier, but I have no new info at the moment if this is something that can/will be changed in the phone software or if it's something that needs to be optimized in the Instagram app.
