Sony Xperia micro USB flap

Hi Guys,

            My Sony Xperia Z1 Micro USB flap is damaged and it got detached from phone. Now my phone is no more water proof and it looks weird with that big opening, Can any body give me some suggestion on how to get rid of this issue 😞

Sony has made a wonderful product but they are really fools to think of this flap issue.  What I can do now ?

sorry mate but there is nothing that we can do in this ...and unfortunately sony dosent cover these kinda issues in there warrenty too

             the best is to jus put a veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery veeeeeeeeeeeery little amount of super glue and join it fom the breaking point...this may take very much concentration..so best of luck and the water proof issue dont worrt ur phone is still water proof cos your device's ports covered with a plastic type layer coting so dont worry on that...

Please dont glue your handset. I would advise contacting your local Xperia Care team so that they can assist you in arranging the repair of the tab.

dude the service centre wont deal with it .................

all they can do for this issue is to CHANGE THE WHOLE BOY which may cost you around 1500 -2000 deponding on your device.....................

I have the same issue! The flap came off within 23 days of me owning the phone. My handset is faulty anyway it turns out with a screen that keeps cutting out but I can't send my phone in for repair etc as the missing flap voids all my warranty!!!!  I asked if they could just send out a replacement flap and I was told that it needs a sony qualified engineer to fit it even though it is just a rubber cord that needs poking into a hole. The whole incident is rediculous and has put me off sony for good!  DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! more trouble than its worth... You don't get these issues with a Galaxy S4! or samsung in general with my experience...
