Hi everyone!
I hope all is well on your Xperia L, mine is great cause I did not update it to the latest firmware 15.A.3.1.14, my phone is still using the original firmware (4.1.2) 15.0.A.2.17 and i'm not going to update no matter what. My phone is working perfectly, however I updated the first Xperia L phone I bought to 1.14 and it **bleep** big time because the update caused a lot of problems.
Anyway, this is the weird part. Here in the Philippines they have a store called Memo Xpress and one of the sales person from the SONY shop i spoke to told me that I can just bring my phone (Xperia L) to Memo Xpress and if the phone is under warranty they WILL UPDATE IT TO 4.3...........
Yes folks, 4.3! **bleep**! How come people cannot download or update the Xperia L using PCC or SUS to get the 4.3 update? But the authorized shop can update the phone. What is going on right?
If this shop can update the phone to 4.3 then i hope SONY should let people update their Xperia L to 4.3 to fix all the issues. (i hope)...
Anyway, even if my phone is working perfectly using the old firmware I wanted to have a feel of using an updated Android software version. so I decided to keep my SONY Xperia L and bought an LG phone and its just perfect!!!! GO LG!
Hi,
I'm also from Philippines. Just want you to know that there is no release date for Android Jellybean v4.3. Also not available for OTA and PCC. If they said that they can make your phone's Android version to v4.3, they will actually root and use a custom rom for it. I'm not sure if the warranty to Sony's Repair Center will be void. Much better to wait for the official JellyBean v4.3 via OTA and PCC.
Ok, so I'm gonna tell you my experience after updating my Xperia L to Firmware v15.A.3.1.14.
Before, when I receive a message, the illuminating bar does not respond, it does not blink. Then after updating it successfully, it is now operating normal. The only thing that is missing within Xperia L is you cannot change the color of the illuminating bar. You can download an app named Illumination Bar Notification.
I see. I"m using the old version 4.1.2 and the illuminating bar is working perfectly.
