Sony Xperia E Speed Issue

Hello everyone,

as you can read in the Subjects name it's about the Xperia E of me wich is extremly slow, i have it for about 3 weaks now and it was like this from the very first day. I have to reboot my phone at least once a day but it's getting slower with every hour untill i'm unable to use it anymore. I tried to uninstall some apps but nothing changed, i won't root it because i don't like the Idea of playing around with the OS. And i don't know how to fix it via PCC as i've read in various similar posts. I won't offend anybody but this phone is just so slow i already am thinking about selling it even though i would make 50% loses.

Can anybody help me thx.

Have you tried updating the software?

Edit: By software I meant the Android OS, this worked for me.

If you don't know how to fix or upgrade your phone firmware, try the Sony update service:

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/

I use this phone now for 4 months and without any serious problems. It's fast enough for me, and it's even faster and more stable after the last firmware upgrade. I seriously would not trade it for an iPhone Slightly_smiling_Face

I don't play any games on it, and I am very careful and suspicious with installing new app's.

As adviced by other people on this forum, you shouldn't use anti-virus app's , task killers and battery savers, because these can have bad effects on your phone's performance and stability.

Try to boot your phone in safe mode and verify if speed is good

  • Turn off the device.
  • Press and hold down the power key  until the phone vibrates.
  • Wait until the Xperia™ logotype disappears.
  • Press and hold the volume down key. The device then restarts in safe mode.
  • To exit safe mode, restart the device.

If no issue in safe mode (that loads only stock apps) probably is a app that you installed that has a problem

If issue is the same in safe mode try to repair your firmware with PC companion (or do a factory reset)

Anyway remember that your phone has only 512MB of RAM and can't handle a lot of background apps.
