Sony Xperia C5 wont charge after the software Update Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)

Hii, 

I did my software update when my battery was 55% since it required only 50% but in the installation the phone restarted and showed that the battery is fully drained. After that I charged the phone and the update was completed. 

Since then I faced the issue of the battery not charging. it took half a day to charge the battery to 25%.

I read few of the blogs so they have advised in similar situations to do a software repair. So I successfully completed a software repair and the phone charged perfectly. 

The next day the battery was draining fast, in 4 hours the battery was fully dead.

Now the phone isn’t charging. It shows the battery is charging but no progress over the last 3-4 hours.

Please advise me what to do. I bought the phone exactly one year ago

Could you test a different wall charger?

I have tried 2 wall charges plus three different USD cables.

Hey guys,

My phone charged and worked perfectly fine after keeping it charged overnight but after one full day the batter was 10% due to my battery issue I turned off the phone and put to charged. I checked the phone in few minutes and the battery was dead.

How can a battery die when it’s turned off and while charging?

Do you guys think that I should take my phone to a repair shop? Will it help my issue?
