SONY? SERVICES? Whats wrong?

Again, another GREAT example of really bad services. Got my Xperia Neo V on 27th Aug, 2012. Submitted to Service center for (1) Charging problem and (2) Earpiece / Earphone / Receiver was not working since the first day I received my phone. I tried everything from Updating to ICS to Repair using SEUS, but in vain.

On submitting the phone to service center, the guys over there told me that they will diagnose the phone and will let me know if this can be repaired here or needs to go to SONY ( I don't know where the h*ll they are going to send it ).

I called them just a few minutes ago and I was not much surprised by their response : The PHONE needs to be SENT to SONY (where?????). Upon asking how long will it take to get repaired, the answer was 7 to 10 days, MAX 15. I used the phone for just one day and now I need to be without it for next 2 weeks. I hope you have some idea how I feel now.

What has happened to you SONY. This is really getting worse day by day. Please don't make our good will die on you. Personally, I really don't want this to happen.

Now, I am really repenting my decision to buy Xperia Neo V. Regarding warranty, please give me my phone as soon as possible, I seriously don't want to wait for so long or if you can't repair it (I really mean that you really CANT repair this) please give me my money back. I don't want to waste my hard earned money on such a garbage-picked-refurbished-sold-new product.

At last, I seriously hope that some SONY Support guy reply this thread. I would really appreciate this. And of course some results too.

Take back from there and find another service center.

It is too late but it is not good time to buy xperia series that to 2011 phone in Aug 2012.

You could have looked for 2012 models. Aleast some support you could have expected.

Well thats what I am thinking now, that I should have gone for 2012 models. But even none of the 2012 models are working GREAT. They have almost the same issues.

It is too late but it is not good time to buy xperia series that to 2011 phone in Aug 2012.

I don't consider this as downside in general. I liked this phone as I planned to buy in 2012 only and was searching. Whats my fault :smileywink:. If this is the case, SONY should have recalled all the 2011 phones from market.

I am still waiting to hear from someone in SONY. God knows when this will happen.

Sounds a bit messy the whole errand I must say, sorry to hear about it.

Give your local Sony Mobile support a call and they will help you to sort this out.

Finally!

Anyway... I had arranged to get DOA for the same phone by talking to care center / service center and e-mail communications to Sony.

But, I am double minded now. I don't know whether to go for SONY again which has been my favorite brand for previous 6 years or should I switch to a new brand.

Seeing my very recent experience I am afraid to buy or recommend SONY to anyone.
