Sony MW1 Bluetooth Headset

Hey guys,

I have just bought the Sony MW1 bluetooth headset for the many features it offers.

I am satisfied with what it has offered till now but I am unable to figure out how to use the MP3 player functionality on it.

I didnt get a micro-sd card nor the sd card reader in the package.

I tried using my my own sd card to store songs but no use, the device is unable to detect it.

Can any of tell me what should I supposedly try to get it working?

I tried pasting the songs in a freshly formated card using FAT32 filesystem, but still the device isnt able to detect it. It says not available, tried synching using MediaGo software but it doensnt detect the device.

I am lost.. Please people help me..

Hoping for a reply.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

What kind of SD-card are you using? The MW1 supports SD-cards up to 32GB. If your headset won't detect your SD-card, I suggest that you try another one to exclude problems related to the one that you are using now.

If you want to use the SD-card as music source, you need to press the Menu key > Select the music icon > then press SD-card.

Thanks for your reply,

I got the memory card detected. It is able to play music flawlessly.

Is it OK I use class 10 sd card with the full capacity of 32GB or is it ideal to use class 4 sd card with 16GB capacity.?

According to my understanding the class only determines the speed at which data would be written or read from the card. So does the MW1 support class 10 or class 4 sd card?

If I use the full capacity of the 32GB or 16GB card then would it bottleneck the speed in detecting the songs on the memory card?

Please help me with ideal compatible card so that accordingly I could buy the correct memory card.

Thanks.... Slightly_smiling_Face

Yes it should not be a problem to use a SD-card with class 10 (32 GB). The thing that you might will notice when using class 4 compared to class 10, is the transferring speed when you move music to the SD-card from your PC. If you use class 10 it will go a bit faster.

Hi,

i have the same problem as reported, i have purchased a 32GB Samsung Micro SD which is a class 10. Card works properly and all as i have manage to transfer songs to the card. i am even able to view the songs in that card when connecting using the Micro USB cable attached to the MW1 and choose the transfer file option. But the when i try to play from the Micro SD its hows "Please Wait" and NOTHING happens.
