I have had my new Sony Xperia SP for six months when my microphone stopped working. I can hear callers but they can't here me. I went back to Phones4U who sent the phone off to their repair centre and to my surprise they came back to say the phone had been abused and subject to extreme pressure and they would not provide a repair or new phone on that basis.
Given I have had a number of Sony phones and never had any issues with them is there somewhere where I can get a second opinion. The other functions work perfectly well and if the phone had been 'abused' i would have expected the screen and back to be marked in some way.
I actually believe they just don't want to provide a new mobile.
Given I am on a monthly contract but can't use this handset I was wondering if Sony have a recommended repair centre where I could get a valid professional opinion?
