Sony Experia U with Pendrive

HI all,

I am a newbie to this forum , Would like to have your suggestions on the below :

I would like to connect pendrive with my SE-U , Googling says i should use OTG cable for that.

Are there are pendrives which can be connected without the OTG cables and directly to the charger port as the pendrive itself has the ability to connect with the mobile port directly ?

If so please let me know the links .... Also how much max GB pendrive can be connected to the SE-U with the OTG ... 16 GB / 32 GB??

i dont know max gb but some pendrives can not support. because they need more power.

sample, my transcend is not working on xperia u. but kingston is working.

I actually have no clue about wether this can work out some way or what kind of product you might need to have to get it to work.

Like sfrskz mentions also some of them may need electricity to work and I have a hard time thinking the phone may provide that to the pendrive.

Anyone that have tried and got this to work?
