Sony Ericsson W580i "Another Application is running. Close it and then start the camera" Problem

Whenever I want to use my phone camera it gives the below message.

"Another Application is running. Close it and then start the camera".

I have been searching on the net for this issue, but haven't found any concrete answer.

I have also updated the software as per the suggestions in forums regarding this problem, but it doesn't help.

Appreciate any help in this case.

well i have the same  handset ... and the same problem started with my phone a couple of weeks back ... dont have any idea as to what may have caused it to suddenly occur... coz before these 2 weeks it was working great ...

well i wud like to know if u found out any reason for this prob ... or any solution as well... then do let me know... like u said ... even i searched all over the web... tried everything but nothing seems to work ..

Three of my friends were also using sony ericsson mobile and they also faced different problems in the their mobile and problems started in their mobile phones within  less than a year  My family members are using Nokia, Samsung, Karbonn mobiles but they never faced any problems and from last 2-3 years years without any problem. The camera  problem started in my mobile just after one year even though I use camera very rarely, I did master reset, downloaded software from sony ericsson site and installed again the software in my mobile but the problem is persistent, I am planning to buy a new mobile in the coming month but I take the oath in the name of god that in future I'll not buy Sony Ericsson mobile phone, it is total wastage of money and apeal to rest of people that don't buy it's mobiles. The sony people selling mobiles in India, which is garbage and rejected from the rest of world.

I am facing the same problem with my W660i model..don't waste your time sending and seeking advise from Sony Ericsson Customer Services they are real damn cowdung and won't reply to you. So far, I being using Nokia and Motorola and never face any problem at all on the camera but once I bought a new set of this model I faced alot of problem. Now I chuck it in my drawer rather than make me sickerning and saw eye. Please take my advise, for those whom have an intentions to purchase Sony Ericsson try to stop it or else you shall be regret of spending money to have it...!!!
