sony ericsson elm contacts list

Hi

I Recently bough a sony ericsson elm and transfered all my old numbers across from my w810, however it now lists/sorts them by surname: name

Eg David Jones now appears as

Jones:David/M

is there any way to change the appearance of my contacts so that it is displayed and sorted by 1st name instead of last name

In your Contacts menu/submenu (options--More--Advanced?), is there an option to sort out names by first or second name?

there is, but it doesnt sort the problem out,

seems to be whatever way the numbers have been transfered across they have been sort of changed slightly, as some of the contacts 1st names have letters missing,

Thanks for your reply, its only a minor issue, but one which is slightly annoying, i might go back to the shop and see if there is any way to copy the contacts  across so they are displayed the same way as in my old phone.
