Sony bridge for Mac sync problems

After initial sync with an iTunes playlist (about 20 Gb of music), Sony bridge won't sync any more Thinking_Face

When connecting the phone (Sony Xperia Active), it will try to detect the phone, but that takes forever - i.e. never finishes. I have tried to leave the phone connected to my mac overnight (about 12 hours), but that didn't help.

If I delete all my music on the phone, I can do a sync again, but since a full sync takes multiple hours that is not a good solution.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Have you tried to reinstall Bridge for Mac? If not I suggest that you do.

If problem still remains you could try to master reset the phone to check if it makes any difference.

I have now reinstalled Bridge for Mac (version 3) and upgraded to Android 4.1... it seems to help somewhat.

My phone is always detected now and sync works when new songs are added to my sync playlist, but if songs are deleted form the playlist I get an error:

Sync completed with xxx errors.

Details doesn't show any additional information. The number of errors seems to correspond to the number of files to delete.

There doesn't seem to be any information regarding the error in Console.app

I have also experienced a few crashes of bridge software:

The reason it nearly worked seems to be, that the phone was in MTP after the upgrade to Android4.1... if I switch to mass storage the situation is exactly the same.
