Sony Bridge for Mac 3.0 post update .184 for XP

I've recently updated (successfully!) to the new version .184 on my XP through Sony Bridge for Mac. As with others I had a problem during update where the phone gets turned off every time during the updating process (when connecting to the phone), and then the phone can't be recognized.

Then I found that my Bridge was still ver. 2.0, so I updated to ver. 3.0, and successfully got the phone connected and updated without any problems. But now when I connect my phone, Bridge for Mac no longer recognizes the phone at all. I cannot use the Bridge to transfer music or photos or browse files.

Anyone else has this problem?

Will Sony update Bridge for Mac so it will recognize the phone?

(I use Mac OS 10.5.8)

Sorry to heart about the issues. Have you tried re-installing Bridge For Mac after this happend? Also might be wise trying to switch USB-port and cable you connect your phone with. Slightly_smiling_Face Try it out and let me know!

Update:

I have tried re-installing Bridge for Mac v3.0 as well as using a different USB port and different cable, but both did not work and said error connecting phone, cannot recognize phone. However, when I plug the phone in the software still opens automatically (which I've selected in preferences).

Then I read on another Sony support forum thread that MtpApp may be the problem, so I tried clearing the app. After, I plug into my Mac, wait a while, then open Bridge for Mac, and immediately the software recognizes the phone. However, the software now shows the problem: No SD card found, phone cannot be used for media synchronization. What is the meaning of this problem?
