I updated my phone to Android 4.3 recently and am generally quite happy with it. However, sometimes when a call comes in, I am not able to answer as the display either will not let me drag the slider across or freezes totally. It really is annoying and often the only way to get the touchscreen responsive again is to pull the battery out. I've tried resetting to factory default, but that didn't solve the problem.
From a Google search, I've found that many people have the same problem with various different models of Xperia phones. Would anyone here have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

If the behavior still persists in safe mode I would suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion:

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".
Before repairing the software in your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to:

Hi I had the exact same problem with my V after the update. (and the phone was only 5days old).
I found a post related to touch unresponsivness and the poste suggested stopping some services.
Sorry I do not have the link, but I stopped (uninstalled) a back ground service and have not yet seen the problem return.
Fingers crossed.
Same problem. Really annoying. Reboot solved it, version 9.2.a.1.210.
Can't believe this from Sony. Really, get back to work, devs!
