Okay, it shows that pictures and videos take up 500 something MB in the internal storage, even though there are none, next pic explains it,

And still nothing?I think you should either wait for 4.3(that might take some time),or visit a nearby sony centre for a quick check.
Nope still nothing, i guess i should wait for the "promised" 4.3 update, i would like to know if others are having the same problems. Thanks a lot for your help alexdon.

you need to go into files and delete all the picture cache and temp for the pics
Could you give the steps for that?
You should be able to find thumbnails folder in internal memory.Check it,see if it has something in it.
my best advice would be connect to computer > internal storage >DCIM>Thumbnails worked for me
