I had android 2.3.4 on my xperia ray phone and after rebooting my phone with task killer help my optimal memory holded ~140-155mb ram... Now i can do nothing with my phone and my memory usage increased... It's now normal to have ~115-130mb ram free... It effects battery usage and i don't like to charge phone 3 time per day...
its better advised not to use any task killer, it makes your phone unstable and consumes space, uninstall it and go to running services and stop any unwanted app, be careful not to stop system app!!
The processes is restarting wery often, if i will disable them manualy it will be long game. For e.g. i disable them go to chat messages and them my memory is like ~110mb. I dunno what to do... I want to hold at least ~140mb ram free space...
When i posted today first message my battery level was ~90%, now it's 40%. 😕
Try this tip, go to manage app, when you don't have to use some apps, force stop them and clear their data, eg if you don't use preinstalled facebook app then jus go to that app, clear its data and its cache and then restart your phone, after restarting go to running services and stop them again, and it won't run until you restart your handset again, it works in mine and i have a continious 205 to 212mb of ram free, i do that process daily in the morning, dont use facebook app (especially as using it consumes 41mb) 😉 try it, it takes only 5min of your precious time daily
Thenks it really helped.
Now i have optimal ~140mb ram free. 😕
