Hello.
I've recently upgraded my Sola to ICS 4.0.4 build 6.1.1.B.1.10 and noticed that Torque app cannot connect ty my Bluetooth ELM327 car diagnostic adapter anymore.
It keeps asking for a PIN code every time it tries to connect, and all without success. The adapter "CHX" is shown as paired in the Bluetooth settings screen.
I've tried another OBD2 app - no luck. The adapter itself is working properly, as I've checked with my laptop and PDA - they are able to connect.
Bluetooth scan apps are not showing Bluetooth Serial port available on any nearby device I scan (but there are!).
Looks like the Bluetooth SPP is missing or somehow broken in our ICS 4.0.4 build!
Who else can confirm this problem?
Will it be fixed in ICS update #2 that is believed to be rolling out soon?
Hi,
I have the same issue with my Xperia Go (ST27i), Android version
4.0.4, Build number 6.1.1.B.1.54. I get this problem when trying to
connect to MyPhoneExplorer (using serial port profile).
Pairing works well. But anytime I try to connect to the service I
again get a new pairing screen on the phone asking for a pin again.
Whatever I enter the PC responds with "connection failed". I see the
same issue trying to manually connect a Bluetooth serial port on the
PC to the phone. I have tried with both MyPhone Explorer (which uses
serial profile) and using terminal programs on both the PC and the
phone.
This works with some other Xperia (non-Go) phones on my computer. I have
tried to sync the Xperia Go with other computers running both XP and
Windows 7, neither works. I.e. the error seems to be with the Xperia Go firmware.
I have tried to erase the Bluetooth share database, this also did not help.
It seems that something is broken with the SPP support in the Xperia
Go. It does not realise/respect that the phone is already paired with
the PC. This impacts a lot of devices which use serial port profile.
Add my name to the list of affected peaple.
Sony ??? Anyone working on that one ?
Hi all, i had the exact same problem with bluetooth, i pass trough .544 to. 54
and finally to. 75 hoping the problem was solved, but as you imagine that didnt happen, after reading an reading a few weeks, i found an app in google play store that solve the problem, dont ask because i dont know why exactly it helped its something about bluetooth protocols and this app i think helps to connect with spp devices like car diagnostics..today i test the app and i connect succefuly mi obd device and used it with torque app... The app is "Bluetooth SPP" available in Play store, hope it helps you too!!!
Hello,
I have the same problem with:
Sony Xperia U
Model number: ST25i
Android 4.0.4
Build number 6.1.1.B.1.10
The external accessory (Bury CC9068) has been already paired. On every SPP connect coming from external accessory the phone requests PIN.
The following line can be observed in logs:
04-15 10:25:09.833 1800 2039 I BluetoothEventLoop.cpp: agent_event_filter: Received method org.bluez.Agent:RequestPinCode
I have noticed that only SPP profile is affected.
If any other profiles (HF, A2DP, AVRCP) are being connected (but not the SPP) everything is working fine (there is no PIN request).
When can we expect the update solving this issue?
Is there any workaround for this? (this with 'Bluetooth SPP' app from GooglePlay does not work for me)
Hi,
I've got same problem too with my Xperia Sola (Android 4.0.4, Build number 6.1.1.B.1.54)
and also brothers Xperia P with ICS is affected.
Is there any progress??
Sony don't care..
Maybe the JB update fixes that, but as the sola won't have it...
I use my N7 for that. Looking arond for a replacment phone, but don't find what I need.
I just tried a port of the JB Rom someone made for sola. Everything works. But that anoying bluetooth bug is still there.
No hopes for a fix I guess.
I am having the same problem.
Its for a friends phone, im hoping the JB update will sort out the phone.
Sony doesnt seem very interested. Thats one of the reasons the Sony xperia X1 was my last sony device.
