Software update unavailable

hello! i have got the SONY XPERIA U 

it has been 7months past since the official release date of the ICS UPDATE for my phone and although i have recieved a couple of updates for some apps (preinstalled sony apps)

but i havent been able to update the software as till yet by any means that i know of 

can anyone help me out and tell me why this is happening. am i the only one with this problem

p.s

i want the official update 

rooting the phone is not a solution for me

It must be because Sony did not finish development of the update for your SI Number of it will not do so. GB experience was not bad and if you wish to stay with the official release, I would say that it is as good a choice as any.

My country is PAKISTAN

There is no official local support team of SONY MOBILES over here

so i have no help available here other than non-sony mobile support providers. And they have no solution other than "root"

You can try update it manually using Flash Tool if you can't wait for the update..
