Software update failed

My xperia z ultra stopped mid way of a software update and now refuses to start.

Error message shows "software update failed. make sure you connect to computer to try again".

Possible reason could be phone charge went below 50% - not sure - tried re-connecting and re-installation of software but nothing is happening.

Pls help...

Connect your phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up > let it charge for 1 hour 

after 1 hour repair it SUS

I had a similar issue but mine just died, cant do anything, no red light when connected to a charger or usb cable to PC, nothing when i do the power and volume up, nothing when i do a repair phone through PC companion and volume down and reconnect usb.

not impressed with Sony right about now.
