software update causing google to crash

Just updated the software and I can no longer access google on my phone, when I try it crashes. Any suggestions?

1.There is no kitkat yet officially.

2.What do you mean by google?

Sorry I meant the software update they just released with the battery fix, new camera options etc. The google app on my phone when I try to open it crashes.

settings > apps > all > google search > clear data/cache > restart your phone
