SMS Text Message - Location

My M4 Aqua was just updated to 6.01.

Everything works fine except for 1 problem.

When writing a text message with the default app, when I press the location icon to share my location, it crashes with a fault message of "google play services has stopped"

Its not a big issue, but am wondering its a known problem, or should I reinstall the software. Thanks.

Test it in >>> safe mode and report back.

Restarted into safe mode and still has the same problem...

Other people in this fourm were reporting similar problems using google+, so maybe its a bug?

hard to tell, what if you clear the app data?

I cleared the app data.

Restart messaging. Get a popup asking for permission to access location, I allowed it.

I started to write a message, press the location icon, it crashed again.

I'll try and doing a full sofware reset in a few days and report back...

I ended up reinstalling the sofware using pc companion.

The problem was fixed for about 10 minutes, then the same problem happened again.

I disabled google play services, it then installed the factory version of google play services.

The original problem was fixed again, but I kept getting errors about google play services, I allowed it to update, then the original

problem came back.

During this time, no additional apps were installed. So, I am convinced the problem is related to google play services. I am not going to worry about it for now, maybe there will be a play service update later.

Otherwise 6.01 works better than 5.0, battery life is better, system seems to work smoother.
