SMS listing problem

I just changed my phone and brought all the data from my old phone via Bridge. Now if i send or receive an SMS it won't show as the latest contact. I have to scroll the SMS list until i find it.  The device is up to date and the times and dates are correct. Any help?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I suggest that you make a backup on your text messages. You can use the preinstalled "Back up and restore" application for this. When the backup is done, go to the messaging application and delete your text messages. I also suggest that you clear data for the messaging application before restoring the text messages. This can be done via Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > Messaging > Clear data.
