SMS/Call Problem

Hey,

I recently bought an X8 after having the k750i for a number of years.

The phone was working great - I've had it for 2 months now -  and still does in general.

However, recently (in the last month or so), there are random points in the day where my text messages fail to come through the to phone, this is also the case for calls.

It is mainly after an hour or so that the delayed messages will all come through at once; and this may be only after I send a message from the phone itself.

Any help would be appreciated as the problem is very annoying.

Incase this helps, I am with o2, and always have been and have not had this problem before even with the k750i.

Never had that myself.  It couldn't just be be that you are losing reception for a while, whilst you go in to a bank vault or some other place with a poor signal, I suppose...?

Nope, it isn't dependant on where I am, as it happens often and anywhere, thanks for the reply though

I thought that was unlikely, but sometimes it is the simplest explanation... Afraid I can't think of any other reason, unless it is in some other way network related.  Has it always been that you are unable to make and receive calls and messages at the same time, or are there times when you can do one or the other?  Worth ringing your provider to see if they have any possible explanation...?

     Have you tried to change the network mode? Go to Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile Networks>Network Mode. If the default is "wcdma/gsm" change it to "gsm only" or vice-versa i guess. It worked for me.... I think it has something to do with the fluctuating network modes...
