Smart Dial do not work?

bought in Bulgaria from MTEL

Build number 11.0.A.0.26

Andorid 4.04

Problem:

Smart dial do not work properrly. Only search in phone number filed not in Contact name field.

Is there anybody with the same problem with their Xperia Tipo?

I know i can install other Smart Dialer but i prefer that from Sony. I have SE Xperia Ray (Android 4.03) and Sony Xperia U (Android 2.3.7). On both phones Sony Smart Dial works fine.

If this is wide spread bug do you think that Sony will fix it?

This has now been looked into and it's unfortunately not supported by Xperia tipo/tipo dual. The info in the users guide is unfortunately wrong and will be edited as soon as possible. I suggest that you search for contact names using the contacts tab instead, or third party application.

Thanks for the feedback, so sad to hear that Sony is not able to deliver such a basic function, available on any other Android ICS smartphone for other brands.

It's like the Sony MW600 bluetooth headset : with any Android smartphone, the song titles are displayed on the OLED display, except with Sony XPERIA ones. Can you believe it ?

I'm 35, from France, and I think that "this" SONY is not the same SONY that created Walkman, Trinitron and Minidisc (I still own and use my MZ-RH1, latest Hi-MD produced by SONY), no, I can't believe it...
