Whenever the phone is rebooted it displays the message "Smart card service has stopped working'.
It doesn't appear to have any effect on anything I've been using so far. It just makes me think there might be something wrong with the software.
Everything I have on the smartcard is accessible, so what does the service do?

I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

You could also try to clear data for 'Smart card services under settings > apps > all. Restart your device and see if you still get this behavior.
