[sk17i] SE xperia mini pro, [Prototype] problems with proximity sensor!

Hello, i got my Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro few days ago. Its prototype version!

Here some info about my phone:

Model number: sk17i
Android version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028D-56
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-perf , SEMCUser@SEMCHost #1
Built number: 4.0.2.A.0.42

So my problems is folowing, and I think its about proximity sensor... When some1 is calling me, and i answer the display went black, even if it's not close to my ear or anything. My call is working fine, and when call is over I cant get my display back, its black and any button i press its still black.. sometimes the sliding my QWERTY helps and display restores... but most of the times that wont help.

So, my question is how to fix it, is there any solution to disable proximity sensor, or something..

I also checked SE service menu by typing *#*#7378423#*#*, there in proximity sensor menu, it's is ON , all the time!!

I dont know what to do, my phone is "brown", prototype ,and i cant fix it with Sony Ericsson PC Companion.

And so my boot loader cant be unlocked, in SE service menu is Rooting status: Unknown

In your phone, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.

I was surfing and browsing this forum, unable to find a solution for this problem... i am fairly new to android OS , and flashing, rooting, booting phones.

Maybe its not hardware problem with sensor, maybe it is software.. but i dont know how can i replace software for my phone, i am afraid not to screw something up and break my phone... so plz some1 help me, plzzz, i love this phone, but this problem is annoying!

i tried, several times... no luck... 😕 still in the service test, proximity is allways ON

You can still root your phone? Try this app, peraphs it can be configured to stop the screen from turning off:

What model of proximity sensor is reported by the apps? Is possible your phone uses a different model 😕

Prototype phones can't be updated or reinstalled using SEUS or PCC, nor do they have locked boot loader.

I suggest that you check with the SE person who gave you your prototype if he can help you reinstall or update the phone software.

this is same situation like on my X10 mini.
But after readig this, i found a "solution".
This app can make action to turn on display when you got a call. Its not hard to set up it.

second test. i put on sensors(on board) small piece of duct tape 😃 ...and. Resoult is: After turn on on service menu its "proximity switch: on". its imposible! i block it. so..i after a call, and connecting to power i got display again on(thats my way to get display on again). And after one call, in service menu is "proximity switch: off". and it never go on(and i want it that way) until mobile is restarted and it is reseted to ON.
