Simlock.ta

HI, I have the next problem: I have been using for a long year my xperia u wiht a cellphone company called telcel in México, Iwith my SIM card with a PIN number so I can secure my contacts, and I "linked" the xperia-u; with my PINed SIM card. Initially I wanted the xperia S but I can't afford them, son this year, when the recibed the new sony cellphones and still had to many xperia s in stock they decided to make a sold out wich included great internet plans, so I decided to get my xpweria S (here is when the problem starts) the vendor changed my phone number via PC to a new microSIM in the new cellphone (without a PIN number 'cos was a new SIM card) but he didn't asked me to "de-link" my old SIM card from my xperia - u, so I trashed the SIM 'cos wanted to sell the phone topay the rent Face_with_stuck-out_Tongue (that's hilarious true). 19 days after my xperia S gets stolen, so I have to report it to police and to TELCEL, they locked my number for a week and finally reactivated in a new satdard SIM card so I intended to use in my old xperia u, but the suprise was that it does'nt even recognice the presence of the SIM card inserted, maybe 'cos is looking for the old "linked" SIM, my service provider only limits to say its hardware issue, but in other attention center of them they rebooted the phone twice, and the technician said to me that he cant flash the simlock.ta file, I don't know what that means. I want to use my xperia U, such a great phone, now it has ICS and runs smoothly but didnt recognize the SIM card, I must say that makes the same with any SIM, and my SIM works grat in other phones. I wolud really apreciate your help so I can still enjoying the SONY experience. These are the screens related in historical order.

Sorry to hear that your new phone got stolen.

I don't understand much from your screenshots but if the phone doesn't detect your SIM-card i recommend that you first try another SIM-card to make sure it's not a problem with the new SIM. If you get the same problem with another SIM-card, try making a repair of the phones software using PC Companion and see if that helps: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/.

TheSIM works fine in other phones I'll try to post the screens in english...

Is there anyway to track the IMEI of my stolen phone? and what the thief can do if I block the phone by IMEI trough TELCEL (the cellphone company), can they reactivate the phone? unlock? or use on other cellphone provider?
