SIM card turns off randomly

After working fine for half a year, the Z1 causes serveral problems:

1. The Sims card turns off and requires reentry  of the pin, this happens several times a day, independent from charging.

I am completely disappointed that such an expensive phone causes  such trouble.

2. The SD card write issue remains unsolved.  Only special applications  are able to access the SD Card (for example file commander).

Once again:

Any recommendations, besides sending in for repair, expecially for the SIM issue available?

It appears that apart from having your sim card changed you may have to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care to have it inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
