Sim card not detected

Hello,

Just received my new phone today, really disappointed. My sim card is not recognized by the phone. Tried several micro sim cards the one of my son is recognized by the phone but mine and two others are not recognized, the phone keeps asking to insert a sim card. I suspect that de sim card slot isn't working properly. How can I solve this?

Are the microSIMs trimmed?

As above, if the SIM card has been trimmed down to fit the handset then you may very well have these types of issues, however if the handset does not read the 2 SIM cards consistently but it does with your sons consistently, I can only really see this being old SIM cards or damaged/trimmed SIM cards.

Thanks for the response.

I have ordered a new SIM card to be sure it is not caused by the old SIM card before I'll sent the phone back. Hopefully it will work, I'll let you know over a couple of days when I have received the new SIM.

I have received my new SIM card but that 'sim card didn't work either, it seems like the sim card doesn't make contact with the phone. So I put something between the holder and the phone pushing the sim card to make contact and now it is working.

If the problem persists, you should have the device examined.
