Sim card Insertion issue

I have got Sony Xperia S LT26i from online. But when i insert a Micro sim, its telling me like sim card not inserted. Please let me know how to proceed further

Might sound silly but are you placing the sim card in the right way ie:Chip facing down with the slight cut angle bit going in 1st as per the small image above the sim card slot

If you have the SIM inserted correctly in the phone and it still does not pick this up I would suggest trying another SIM in the phone to see if that resolves the issue.

Sim has been inserted properly. i need to check with the other sim i guess!

May be your micro sim is slightly dislodged ..Try to remove and place it again... If you still get that error it might be the network restriction in your phone that does not support your sim network..did you try to insert some other network sim card? In this case you can get it your phone network unlocked from any vendors online like Unlock-Zone.com
